The Full Story

Command Chess started with a question: How can we make chess fun between players with a huge Elo difference? We want to level the playing field no matter the skill level. So we are building a platform with many chess variants with a focus on chaos and creativity.

Beyond Classic, you’ll find our signature variants:

​

• Command Chess: At the start of your turn, draw a piece type. You can move one of your pieces of that type this turn. The constraint is tiny, the strategy is huge.

• Command Shuffle: Manage a small hand of piece cards. Choose one to play, then draw back up—simple deck-building vibes on a chessboard.

• Stealth: Your opponent sees hidden markers until a piece moves or is captured. Information, timing, and reveals become part of the game.
